CALL FOR COMPANY NOMINATIONS:

NYNMA's Media & Entertainment SIG Presents: The 'Movers & Shakers' Series: Arts & Entertainment 9/18.

NYNMA's Media & Entertainment SIG is calling for nominations for the most compelling young arts & entertainment providers online. These sites can be non-profit or for-profit, with a staff of one or hundreds. They can be original content providers, content distributors, or technology providers. The winners - to be judged by our panel of independent experts - will appear at the "Movers & Shakers: Arts & Entertainment" event, to be held September 18.

Representatives of the winning companies will attend the event and discuss their business plans, creative ideas, and best practices. Audience members will be encouraged to participate through Q&A.; The event is part of the Media & Entertainment SIG's "Movers & Shakers" series launched last month with a panel on the news and politics space that was a huge success. The series presents the most compelling young businesses in the world of digital media and entertainment. Future "Movers & Shakers" events are planned on Fine Living, Health and Radio & TV.

Before you submit your entry, please keep in mind:

• These sites can be non-profit or for-profit, with a staff of one or hundreds.
  
• They can be original content providers, content distributors, or provide the technology that makes this content happen.
  
• Must be less than three years old (or restarted within the past three years, or a new division of an established player).
  
• Sites/companies may nominate themselves, but must have someone outside the company support their application with a testimonial.
